This is a website introducing original limited edition etchings; created by me, Richard Foster. Most of my prints are inspired by the landscape of Cumbria, The Lake District.

Like William Blake I believe it is possible…

“To see a World in a Grain of Sand,
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand,
And Eternity in an hour."

Each of my etchings is a record of a particular place in Cumbria and my reaction to it. However I also hope the prints evoke a response in those who don’t know the Lake District but find inspiration from the natural landscape.
